Castle & Key Distillery

Banks Engineering is currently performing all site design services and construction administration for the 82-acre “Old Taylor” Distillery. At 130 years old, the distillery is truly unique with its sunken garden, original distilling mechanisms, iconic “peristyle” spring house, existing rail beds, natural stone walls and more. Working on this campus has proved challenging and rewarding as we bring the 1800’s to the present.

This project featured the following improvements:

• Sanitary sewer upgrades
• New storm conveyance system
• Campus master plan
• Paver walks, drives and plazas
• Revitalization of some original rail beds and stone coal hoppers.
• New campus wide site lighting
• Water mains for fire suppression / irrigation
• New parking lots
